The Revelator

"The Revelator"

Inspired by Blind Willie Johnson and his gospel blues song "John The Revelator" about John of Patmos, author of the Book of Revelation. A portion of that book focuses on the opening of the seven seals and the resulting apocalyptic events.

We were encouraged to create a piece inspired by the number seven:

"...Seven angels are thus given seven bowls of God's wrath, each consisting of judgements full of the wrath of God. These seven bowls of God's wrath are poured out on the wicked and the followers of the Antichrist after the sounding of the seven trumpets..."

A pesar de que Waters tira mucho, no pude resistirme a la genial Chus Lampreave en Qué he hecho yo para merecer ésto de Almodóvar.

My piece for The Filthiest Trap (Tú a Baltimore y yo a La Mancha), art show inspired by the work of filmmakers John Waters and Pedro Almodovar curated by Susanita Little.
